The Medical Bills Game Plan
After much research and reading, sorting and resorting. Calls to billing to ask for help. I am finally starting to find at least a plan is forming. Here is my plan. Collect and Review all Bills Create a list (spreadsheet) of all the providers with contact information Call each provider to request itemized statements Call each provider to request medical records Follow up to make sure all items have been recieved... Organize all the information Compare notes to statements to adress any potential errors Communicate with billing at each provider to clear up and issues or questions Collect and Review Insurance information Aquire and read the policy for our plan Make sure we have an EOB for each bill (see part 1) Compare claims to bills and make a list of questions Call Insurance to go over questions Find and apply for any medical bill assistance List each providers and programs, get any applications Submit applications F...
